Mickey Mouse is an animated animation cartoon character created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. He first appeared in the cartoon short Steamboat Willie which was one of the first cartoons with synchronized sound and the first cartoon to feature a fully post-produced soundtrack. He was massively merchandised in the 1930s, and was a major part of the success of the Walt Disney studio. After his starring role in Fantasia (in the Sorcerer's Apprentice sequence), his popularity waned somewhat, but he remained the mascot of the studio, and has always been central to the studio (for example, Disney had a "Mickey Mouse Club" TV show where the children wore mouse ears). Note that the items in this lot are mostly from the 1940s to the 1950s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
