a lot of 168 35mm slides of Alan Pappe's family and children. Alan Pappe was a Hollywood photographer from the 1950s the 2000s. His portrait of Liza Minnelli (in the film Cabaret) was both on the cover of Time magazine and Newsweek simultaneously earning him a special recognition from the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. In his career, he shot over 35 major motion pictures and worked with the industries most talented actors and directors. During the 1960s and 1970s he photographed rock legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, The Grateful Dead, and more! He passed away in 2008 at the age of 73, and our consignor obtained these at an estate auction. Note that the items in this lot are mostly from the 1970s to the 1980s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
