An Original Vintage Piece of Original Comic Book Art (measures 14 1/2" x 20" [37 x 51 cm]) (Learn More) Farmer Al Falfa (also known as Farmer Gray and Farmer Alfalfa) is a cartoon character created by American cartoonist Paul Terry. He first appeared in a Terrytoon animated cartoon short titled Down On the Phoney Farm in 1915. In the mid-1950s Terrytoons comics, the character was briefly rechristened Farmer Gray, presumably in an effort to capitalize on Junior Frolics. But the renaming did not last and by the late 1950s, the character's original name was back permanently. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we don't know who the artist was or what year this is from. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good.
