An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 13" x 21 1/4" [33 x 54 cm]) (Learn More) Little Robinson Crusoe, the 1924 Edward F. Cline silent juvenile shipwreck island adventure comedy ("By Willard Mack Under the personal supervision of Jack Coogan, Sr."; a parody of Robinson Crusoe, with young Jackie Coogan shipwrecked on an island with a black cat named "Man Friday", and he must fend for himself and fend off cannibals; he ends up rescuing an older girl on a neighboring island) starring Jackie Coogan, Chief Daniel J. O'Brien, Will Walling, Tom Santschi, and Clarence Wilson NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1924 movie posters from this Jackie Coogan movie are incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a window card from this movie once before, and never any other poster (and the window card we auctioned, which was 13 years ago, was this exact same window card, but it has now been re-consigned, so it is still the only poster from the movie we have ever auctioned)! Also note that the card measures very slightly under 14" x 22" (an extremely tiny amount in each direction!) and has no left, right, or bottom blank borders, but it has NOT been trimmed (this was done at a time when MGM was experimenting with having as few borders as possible). Also note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good. The window card has never been folded. There is brown staining scattered in the top of the card, with some in Coogan's shoulder, where there is also a circular stain. There are scratch marks in the lower right blue area, extending into the "S" of "ROBINSON". There is a scratch in the "A" of "COOGAN" at lower left. There was a nail hole near the center of the card, affecting the bottom of the "J" of "JACKIE", and someone put tape on the back of that and performed slight restoration to the front of that area.
