For the Love of Christ and Country, I Hereby Make My Declaration of Independence Against King Alcohol, the 1910s anti-alcohol and cigarettes temperance poster ("I pledge myself to never use intoxicating liquor as a drink, and I promise to do all I can to end the Drink Habit and the Liquor Traffic". "I pledge myself to abstain from the use of cigaretes [sic] and to do all I can to end the Cigarete [sic] Habit among others."; "By this sign I conquer") featuring rows were people could add their names and a red or blue star. The red star was for abstaining from alcohol and the blue star was for abstaining from cigarettes.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had creases, smudges, small stains, and a few tears around the edges, with paper loss in the top right blank corner. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
