Robertson San Francisco California romantic love triangle family relationship melodrama ("Tense drama of a woman's redemption"; "from the story 'The Ragged Messenger' by W.B. Maxwell"; a wild story of a bad girl who is the mistress of a wealthy old man, and he plans on leaving his money to her, but he dies before the will is signed, and it goes to his nephew, who runs a mission in San Francisco; his mistress feels the money "belongs" to her, and she travels to San Francisco and pretends to be a down-and-out woman, and enters the mission, and starts an affair with the nephew, eventually marrying him; but then he finds out all her lies and that she was his uncle's mistress, and he is rightly furious, but it all works out when she nobly takes a bullet intended for him!) starring Evelyn Brent, Robert Ames, Ivan Linow, Josephine Dunn, and Edwards Davis. Note that this was a re-make of a 1924 movie of the same name, starring Alla Nazimova in the lead role! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
