An Original 1946 (from the first release of this movie in Germany) Vintage German Film Program (measures 6" x 8 1/4" [15 x 21 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More) The Men In Her Life, the 1941 Gregory Ratoff romantic ballerina melodrama ("Men found her exciting..."; "The world was her stage... Mens' hearts her stepping-stones!"; "The Life And Loves Of An Exciting Woman!"; "Her story may shock most men... but every woman will understand it!"; "Based on a novel by Lady Eleanor Smith"; an odd story of a female circus performer who becomes a ballerina thanks to the help of her first husband, and when he dies, she marries an American and quits dancing, but returns to dancing after she becomes pregnant and leaves her husband, and her husband reclaims the child and she spends the rest of her life dancing and involved with other men) starring Loretta Young, Conrad Veidt, Dean Jagger, Otto Kruger, John Shepperd, Eugenie Leontovich, and Ann Todd. Note that the source novel was written by Lady Eleanor Smith, who had an unusual background. Her father was a member of the House of Lords, but she worked as a publicist for circuses, and ended up writing many popular stories! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this program is from a special series of showings of American movies in the "American Zone" of West Germany beginning in 1945, and running for the next three years or so. Each of these special programs have "Published with approval of Military Government" printed on the back. In 1946, West Germany began having regular showings of American movies, and the same movies that were shown in these special showings between 1945 and 1948 were again shown beginning in 1946, so there would be two different programs for each of these movies, one like this, and one "regular" program issued later. Note that we have provided an image of all the pages of this 4-page program (we did this by opening it and laying it flat and photographing the front and back cover together, and the interior two pages together). This way, you see the entire program, and can well determine the exact condition of it from our super-sized image. But of course this means that the front cover appears in the top right of our image, but normally, the program would be folded down the center and you would view the cover by itself (and it will be sent folded as was originally intended). Condition: good. The program has two punch holes in the center of the left of the cover and in the corresponding area on the interior pages, because the program was stored in a 2-ring binder.
