An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 13 3/4" x 17 3/4" [35 x 45 cm]) (Learn More)

Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy, the 1955 Charles Lamont Egypt desert screwball horror comedy ("They're back! ...in their Mummy's arms"; "Their funniest Laughs-For-All Hit!"; "They fight the Goon of the Tomb!"; "They're chummy with a mummy!"; "They get clipped in the crypt!"; "It's Mummy's Day for Bud and Lou!") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Marie Windsor, Michael Ansara, Peggy King, Richard Deacon, and Eddie Parker (in the title role as Klaris, the Mummy)
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that Jack Arnold is credited as the director on the poster, when actually, the movie was directed by Charles Lamont! Note also that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 13 3/4" x 17 3/4", and a piece of paper has been glued on the back of the upper edge extending it's total length to 13 3/4" x 19 3/4". Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair to good. The poster is faded. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). Paper has been glued to the upper edge (see above). There are some creases and tears of varying lengths (approximately 1" or less) around the edges. The tears or other defects as described above have been repaired with pieces of tape from the back. There is tiny paper loss in the center crossfold (effecting the art of Lou) and there are tiny smudges in Bud's face. Some of the tape repairs slightly bleed through to the front in various areas (see our image). There is minor fold and border wear and there are a few light stains at lower right, mostly in the blank border. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid and please do not bid unless you can accept the defects described above, or you are willing to pay to have them properly restored.
