Die Kunst Im Dienste Des Kaufmanns (literally translates to "The Art In The Service Of The Merchant"), the 1910 German poster promoting an exhibition which was held from April 10th to the 24th at the Alten Rathaus in Halle (Saale), Germany. Note that this poster features Paul Neu art of several sailing ships. Paul Neu studied architecture in 1902 at the request of his father, but soon devoted himself to the design of illustrations, the graphic design of representational objects, commemorative publications, advertising and postage stamps, postcards, paper cuttings and posters and also designed lead glass windows. The Paul-Neu-Archiv Hinrichsen records the majority of his extensive work and a path in the English Garden in Munich is dedicated to him.
Artist: Paul Neu
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this German poster!

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had tape on the back of the top border that darkened the front. It also has stains in the top right white background area and some smudges in the other white background areas. The image area of the poster is in nice condition.
