An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Clarence E. Mulford's Hop-A-Long Cassidy, the 1935 Howard Bretherton cowboy western (based on characters created by Clarence E. Mulford) starring William Boyd (in the title role as Hopalong Cassidy), James Ellison (billed as "Jimmy Ellison"), Paula Stone, George 'Gabby' Hayes, Kenneth Thomson, and Frank McGlynn Jr. Note that solely in this very first movie was the character called "Hop-a-long Cassidy". In all future movies, he was referred to as Hopalong Cassidy.

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1935 movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only auctioned two three-sheets, a different scene card, and a few stills from this movie until we received this great lobby card, with a wonderful close up image of William Boyd that was used on the first release six-sheet! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good to fine. The card had a tiny pinhole in each corner, with a tiny bit of paper loss in the top right corner, but otherwise, it was in wonderful condition. Someone had a restorer perform slight restoration to the blank corners without backing the card, and it displays wonderfully (see our image).
