Some of his roles include: To Be or Not to Be, The Mortal Storm, The High and the Mighty, Written On The Wind (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), The Last Voyage, and he had a great success late in his career with a comedy appearance in Airplane! He is probably best remembered for his role as Eliot Ness in TV's "The Untouchables", and as the host of TV's "Unsolved Mysteries". He passed away in 2003 at the age of 84. Important Added Info: Note that this is a CAMERA ORIGINAL transparency, the actual film that was in the camera when the photographer shot this image. Our consignor knows this is a "Kodachrome" transparency from the 1950s, but he does not know if it is connected to a movie. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
