NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Maurice Ingres Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have only auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note that this is one of seventeen wonderful World War I posters we were consigned, which we are auctioning in separate auctions. All of them are extremely fragile and in urgent need of restoration, but all of them CAN be "rescued", and after proper restoration they will display wonderfully (and many of them are incredibly rare). Please read our condition description below and look at our super-sized image before bidding on any of these great posters! Condition: good. There are tears and tiny paper loss scattered along portions of the edges with paper loss in the top right corner that slightly extends into the background of the image. There is light rippling throughout with a few faint stains around the edges. This is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration! It is likely that many or most of the stains can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the poster will look fantastic, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
