2081 Radfahrer Verungluckten 1928 (literally translates to "2081 Cyclists Crashed in 1928"), the 1929 German poster promoting bicycle safely, and featuring Franz Paul Glass art of several cyclists and huge tires, stressing that cyclists must be very careful while driving on the roads alongside motor vehicles. Glass was a German graphic designer, painter, illustrator and typographer from the 1910s to the 1960s. In 1914 Glass (along with Valentin Zietara, Friedrich Heubner, Carl Moos, Emil Preetorius and Max Schwarzer) founded the artist group "Die Sechs" (The Six) to counterbalance Ludwig Hohlwein, who was the dominant figurehead in the field of German advertising. Their service included the offer of six different initial designs for every job. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Artist: Franz Paul Glass
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was printed in 2 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: good to very good. Each section was never folded and each has a piece of tape on the back of one border that has darkened the front (on one it is on the back of the dark edge of the image, so you can hardly see where it has darkened it). There are also some small tape stains in the other borders. There is tiny paper loss in the right blank border of the top section. Other than the above, both sections are in nice condition!
