When they tried to bully him, he resisted. When they tried to break him, he became an American legend. The true story of Preston Tucker."; produced by George Lucas ; based on a true story about Preston Tucker, who created a drastically different and improved type of car, but circumstances beyond his control prevented more than a small number of them from ever being produced) starring Jeff Bridges (in the title role as Preston Tucker), Joan Allen, Martin Landau (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Dean Stockwell, Frederic Forrest, Mako, Christian Slater, and Lloyd Bridges. Note that it is common knowledge that George Lucas got much help from his great friend (and at that time much more successful director) Francis Ford Coppola early in his career. When this movie was made many years later, their fortunes had reversed, and Lucas helped his old friend by producing this movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Laurent Durieux Important Added Info: Note that this art print has been hand-numbered 9/250! This is one of 2,530 auctions for Mondo/Alamo Drafthouse prints from the personal collection of Tim League, co-founder and Executive Chairman of Alamo Drafthouse! All 2,530 auctions began on October 6th, and all close October 27th, starting at around 7:00 PM CST, a few seconds apart! All the prints are being auctioned by eMoviePoster.com, and will ship to the winning bidders from eMoviePoster.com, who WILL combine purchases into as few packages as possible (and they can also be combined with purchases from "non-Mondo" eMoviePoster.com auctions, only charging the actual cost of shipping, plus $4 for each tube or box for packing materials). Please know that 100% of the proceeds from the sale will go towards the Alamo Community Fund, dedicated to supporting charitable organizations in each of the communities where we have an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. And eMoviePoster.com has slashed its commission rates, so that we too can do all we can to support this most worthwhile cause.
