An Auction Catalog (measures 8" x 11" [20 x 28 cm]; 95 pages) (Learn More)

The Estate of Rudolph Valentino ("S. George Ullman Administrator"; "A.H. Weil Auctioneer"), the catalog for the auction held on December 10th, 1926 at The Hall of Art Studios in Hollywood, California. Of course, the auction was made up of Valentino's collection after he passed away unexpectedly in 1926 at the age of 31, at the height of his career, and include horses, cars, clothing, and more! We wonder where those items ended up, and how many have since been resold. This is surely one of the first Hollywood memorabilia auctions!
Important Added Info: Note that included with the catalog is a deluxe 8x10 still (not pictured) showing a copy of the catalog with items that were in the auction. Someone wrote a list of what those items were on the back of that still. The still appears to be from later than 1926, perhaps from the 1930s or 1940s.

Condition: very good.
