Brannon science fiction (sci-fi) serial ("A Republic Serial in 15 Chapters") starring Dennis Moore, Linda Stirling, Roy Barcroft (in the title role as The Purple Monster), James Craven, Monte Hale, Emmett Vogan, Bud Geary, Mary Moore (who was the wife of Clayton Moore from 1940 to 1942), and Kenne Duncan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Roy Barcroft AND Kenne Duncan! Our consignor is in the movie business and over 50 years ago he attended an event at the back lot of Republic Studios, and there were TV stars and old western and serial stars present. Our consignor was already a poster collector, and he brought a bunch of items with him to be signed by celebrities who were present, and in the case of this movie, he brought three lobby cards from chapter 1, and this card was signed by both Barcroft and Duncan (and the other two were signed solely by Barcroft, and we are auctioning those two in two separate auctions). He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are 100% certain the signatures are authentic. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good. There are a few pinholes in the corners and a few faint smudges around the edges, as well as a pair of staple holes at top center. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
