An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Danish Movie Poster (measures 25" x 33 1/2") (Learn More)

Sea Devils, the 1937 Ben Stoloff Coast Guard military sailor court romantic love triangle melodrama ("Gangway for the Coast Guard!... Here come two of the boys with different ideas about the same girl - but she has ideas of her own!"; the war story that was likely already old in 1937, about a new young sailor who clashes with his crusty old superior, and he falls for the older man's daughter, and her father is very opposed to the relationship!) starring Victor McLaglen, Preston Foster, Ida Lupino, Donald Woods, and Helen Flint

Artist: Erik Frederiksen
Important Added Info: Note that this poster has art signed by "Erik F". The artist's full name is Erik Frederiksen, and we have been told by a Danish poster expert that he not only drew movie posters in Denmark in the 1930s but he also drew travel posters. Certainly he must be regarded as one of the premier poster artists of the 1930s, but he is not well known today, likely because of the extreme scarcity of his posters! Also note that this poster was machine folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good to very good. There is tattering and very small paper loss around the edges of the poster (mostly in the blank borders). There are creases in the upper left corner extending into McLaglen's hat as well as minor creases throughout the poster (again, mostly around the edges). Fortunately, the posters defects are pretty minor and mostly confined to border and background areas. After a simple linenbacking by a top professional, the poster will look fantastic, and there will be little paint restoration anywhere on the poster!
