Date Sold 7/30/2017Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 98 trimmed Closer Than We Think newspaper comic panels. Note that the items in this lot are from the early 1960s. This was a one-panel cartoon strip that ran in the Chicago Tribune Sunday comics section, and each one illustrated something that seemed far off in the future, but which the creator of the cartoon ("Radebaugh") believed were due to be invented in the near future. In fact, quite a few of them either have been invented or are on the verge of being invented (like tiny cameras that you swallow so that they can see your digestive tract), and others now seem to be even more far off than ever. These are fascinating to look at and read! Measurements: 8" x 11"Condition: very good. Other than being cut out of the newspaper, the comics are in pretty good condition.
