In his youth, he was a professional wrestler, and he was a "he-man" in top movies of the 1930s and 1940s, but he was much more! After he retired from movies in 1953, he was the executive director of the El Camino Playhouse in California, and he wrote, acted in and directed plays there! Some of his movies include: The Informer, I Shot Jesse James, Last Days of Pompeii, and North West Mounted Police. He passed away in 1970 at the age of 69.
