An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Everything for Sale, the 1921 Frank O'Connor silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("By Hector Turnbull"; about a well bred young woman who is about to enter into an arranged marriage to a young millionaire, but her childhood sweetheart reemerges, and they go on a boat ride and are stranded on an island overnight, and although nothing happens, the millionaire breaks off with her when he hears of it, and she ends up with her true love) starring May McAvoy, A. Edward Sutherland, Kathlyn Williams, Edwin Stevens, and Richard Tucker. Note that if this movie's plot sounds incredibly familiar, it is because it is almost exactly the same as the plot of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger's 1945 classic "I Know Where I'm Going"! The writing for that movie is credited to Powell and Pressburger, but it sure seems like a certainty that they had seen this much earlier movie and "borrowed" the plot.
