Mason"; about an English couple who love each other very much, but their parents think they could "do better", and the woman is pressured to marry a creepy but wealthy old man, and she ends up killing him when he attacks her, and she is put on trial, but fortunately, she is acquitted, and she meets her old boyfriend, who is now a member of Parliament) starring Elsie Ferguson, Vernon Steele, Warner Oland, Wyndham Standing, and George Fitzgerald NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a remarkable group of 21 silent Paramount pressbooks that were in a bound volume. Each was carefully removed, so there is slight paper loss at the spine (and likely the other three borders were slightly trimmed to make them even, but only blank border areas were affected), and otherwise, most of the pressbooks are in really nice condition, although two have cuts, which are of course noted (and of course, the chances of finding these in any condition are very slim!). We are auctioning all 21 of these, in 21 separate auctions. Also note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut. It was removed from a bound volume (see above). There are smudges in the white areas of the cover, including in the image of the star. There is a faint stain in the upper right blank border of all pages.
