Big City Blues, the 1932 Mervyn LeRoy New York City pre-Code crime murder mystery romantic gambling melodrama ("It's Sweet and Hot!"; "Innocents caught in the maelstrom of the Big City.... Women who take... Men who give... Living wildly... Loving recklessly.. Madly searching for new thrills!"; about a young man from Indiana who goes to New York City with his inheritance, but his cousin causes him to blow much of the money on a drunken party, but there he meets a sexy chorus girl that he falls in love with, but then a woman is found dead at the party and the young man and the chorus girl are chased by the police and they find him at a gambling casino, where he has lost the remainder of his money, and he eventually is cleared, and he heads back to Indiana, sadder, but no wiser, because he plans to save up money and return to the chorus girl, who he is sure is waiting for him!) starring Joan Blondell, Eric Linden, Jobyna Howland, Guy Kibbee, Evalyn Knapp, Sheila Terry, Josephine Dunn, Inez Courtney, Thomas E. Jackson, Humphrey Bogart (in an early uncredited role!), and Lyle Talbot

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1932 movie paper from this pre-Code Joan Blondell movie is incredibly rare. We had never auctioned even a single poster (and only a scene card) from this movie until we received this title lobby card. We auctioned it on July 5, 2016, and there was a problem with the auction. There were three bidders who bid past $588, and the final price was $675. But because there was a problem with the auction, the most fair solution is to re-auction it. So THIS is that same card that we had for auction in July, and it is the only title card we have ever seen! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. There are some is an enlarged pair of staple holes in the center of the card and some faint smudges scattered in the image. There are some faint smudges and dot stains around the edges, and there are two tears near the center of the bottom border that have tape on the back. Other than the above, the card is in pretty nice condition, and it will display well just as it is.
