Note that the credit "Screenplay based on a story by Monckton Hoffe" sounds reminiscent of a W.C. Fields credit for himself under a wacky pseudonym, but actually, Monckton Hoffe is a real man, who was an Irish playwright, who worked in Hollywood mostly in the late 1920s through the early 1940s, but "The Lady Eve" is far and away his most famous credit! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning and we have NEVER auctioned ANY other Italian movie paper for this title! Condition: good. The poster has slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture. There are a few pinholes in each corner (three are repaired with tape from the back) and there is a stamp at lower right that has been crossed out in pen. It is otherwise "all there" and the staining could be dealt with through chemical means and the poster backed and restored, but please bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid on this ultra-rare poster.
