Charles Bickford was an actor from the 1920s to the 1960s, who effortlessly transitioned from leading man to character actor. Some of his movies include: Days of Wine and Roses, Of Mice and Men, Johnny Belinda, The Big Country, A Star is Born, Song Of Bernadette (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), and Farmer's Daughter (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film). Note that Bickford never placed all his eggs in one basket when it came to his financial security. At one time he owned a gas station and garage, a half interest in a pearling schooner, a pair of whaling boats, a hog farm, a chicken ranch, a lingerie shop, and purchased an island off the coast of the Indonesian island of Java where coconuts were harvested! He passed away in 1967 at the age of 76. Note that the items in this lot are mostly from the 1930s to the 1950s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them.
