Balderston from the play by Peggy Webling"; the first of the Universal "Frankenstein" movies, and regarded as one of the finer movies of any genre, in large part due to the marvelous acting of Boris Karloff, and the marvelous direction of James Whale!) starring Colin Clive (as Dr. Herbert V. Frankenstein), Boris Karloff (as the Frankenstein monster), Edward Van Sloan, Fredric Kerr, Mae Clarke, Dwight Frye (extremely memorable as Fritz), and John Boles NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only ever auctioned this wonderful 1951 re-release scene card (which is not in the original 1931 set) one time, and that was in 2004, when it auctioned for $1,282! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. The card has a single pinhole in each corner and some faint creases around the edges, with the tiniest of tears in the lower right blank border. The card had paper tape on the back of the lower right border and a piece on the back of the other three corners, and it was carefully removed by a professional, and the card was likely pressed and flattened, but otherwise, no restoration was performed.
