French/Spanish/Swiss crime adventure melodrama ("Two words whispered... two men murdered!"; "Original Story, Screenplay and Directing by Orson Welles") starring Orson Welles (in the title role as Mr. Arkadin), Michael Redgrave, Patricia Medina, Akim Tamiroff, Mischa Auer, Katina Paxinou, Jack Watling, Paola Mori, and Robert Arden (billed as "introducing Arden Paola Mori & Robert Arden") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the still with the great portrait of Welles has a stamp on the back that reads "Mr. Arkadin" (the other stills have that title handwritten on them). Our consignor tells us that these are English stills from the very first 1955 English release, and are not from the 1957 Warner Bros. U.S. release (which makes sense, because they would have been stamped "Confidential Reporter", which is how it was titled in the U.S. in 1957. SUPER IMPORTANT! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 13 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured!
