An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Cave Girl, the 1921 Joseph Franz silent romantic love triangle wilderness melodrama ("A drama of Yosemite Valley"; based on the play by Guy Bolton & George Middleton; about a professor who wants to go "back to nature" and live in the wilderness, and he takes his pretty young housekeeper with him, and they run short of food and get involved with another family living there, including a "half-breed" that the other family employs, and the half-breed kidnaps the housekeeper, but everything works out in the end) starring Teddie Gerard ("[The International Dancer, from the principle London, Paris and New York Theatres.]"), Charles Meredith, Wilton Taylor, Elinor Hancock (billed as "Eleanor Hancock"), and Boris Karloff (in a very early role as the "half-breed", a full decade before he would become a superstar in Frankenstein!). Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that first release 1921 movie paper from this early Boris Karloff movie is incredibly rare. We have previously auctioned three scene cards that show Karloff (and no other scenes), and one of those was in "good" condition. Now we have been reconsigned one of those three cards, so this is still only one of three cards we have ever auctioned! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. There are pinholes in the corners and a few faint smudges around the edges. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
