Date Sold 1/8/2012 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 8 Academy Awards hardcover books. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1970s and 1980s. They were a series of books that were put out each year by the ESE publishing company of California, and each was edited by famed film critic Robert Osborne (currently seen on the Turner Classic Movie TV channel). Each book contained a heavily illustrated review of that year's Academy Award winners, along with much information about the stars and the films. We don't know what year this series started, because we have only seen the ones from 1969, and 1972 to 1980. Note that the "Academy Awards Illustrated" book is different from the others, in that it gives a complete review of all the winners from 1927 to 1968 (it was published in 1969). If anyone knows more about these books, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Measurements: 8 3/4" x 11 1/4"Condition: very good. The Academy Awards illustrated book and the 1972 book do not have dust jackets, but we don't know if they were created with one. The others all have dust jackets and have some wear around the edges.
