An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Other Company Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) The Crime Nobody Saw, the 1937 Charles Barton crime mystery thriller (an interesting story of three writers who gather to write a murder mystery; a drunk comes into their room and passes out, and they concoct a story of how he might have been murdered after being drunk, but then they discover that he really is dead, and they must solve the real murder mystery!) starring Lew Ayres, Ruth Coleman, Eugene Pallette, Benny Baker, Vivienne Osborne, and Colin Tapley NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this was printed by the "other company". This was a company in the Midwest that from roughly 1936 to roughly 1941 printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets (and a very few inserts and half-sheets) for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They never have the name of the releasing studio on the poster or any of the lobby cards. Sometimes, "other company" posters or lobby cards have images that are the equal of those from the regular studio release posters or lobby cards! Note that this half-sheet is very old, and it would not make sense to attempt to roll it, as the paper is fragile enough that rolling it might damage it. Therefore we will send it in a large flat package. Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this poster! Note that the poster is not so fragile that it is "falling to pieces"! If it is handled carefully, it can absolutely be framed and enjoyed without any worry. Condition: fair to good.
