An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) the 1953 stock poster created by Columbia Pictures for use by theaters showing re-releases of cowboy western movies starring "Wild" Bill Elliot and Tex Ritter. Theaters would order these posters which had a large blank area. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area.
