Date Sold 1/15/2012 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 49 set reference test photos for Some Came Running, the 1959 Vincente Minnelli romantic sex melodrama ("Dave was back and the whole town knew that trouble - and women - were close behind!"; "From the bold, new novel by the author of 'From Here to Eternity'"; "Based on the novel by James Jones"; "Screenplay by John Patrick and Arthur Sheekman") starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Shirley MacLaine (in her nominated for Best Actress Academy Award role), Martha Hyer (in her nominated for Best Supporting Actress Academy Award role), Arthur Kennedy (in his nominated for Best Supporting Actor Academy Award role), Nancy Gates, Leora Dana, and Betty Lou Keim. Note that all of these reference set photos measure 8" x 10". Some of them have a visible clapboard in the image that gives the details about the movie and some do not (most of them have the clapboard). The studios would use these images for reference if they needed to shoot additional footage at a later time after the set was taken down. Almost all of the photos have "RETURN TO PROPERTY DEPT. METRO GOLDWYN MAYER" stamped on the back. Condition: very good to fine. The photos are generally in nice condition!
