Important Added Info: Note that this is surely a re-release poster, but given that Hitchcock was not pictured on hardly any posters for his movies until after 1960, we think it is also quite possible this poster is from a very early 1960s (we have seen versions with 1962 overprinted) Belgian re-release (because after the huge success of "Psycho", Hitchcock himself started turning up on most re-release posters. Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 13" x 22" [33 x 56 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this is commonly done with Belgian posters, similar to how the blank top is trimmed off of U.S. window cards). The poster was folded across the original middle twice, with creases along those folds, and also folded down the center. Someone backed the poster and added a blank border to the top area. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
