An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) The Learnin' of Jim Benton, the 1917 Clifford Smith silent sheep herding romantic cowboy western melodrama starring Roy Stewart (in the title role as Jim Benton), Fritzi Ridgeway, Walter Perry, Edward Brady, and Thornton Edwards. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this half-sheet, and that was 15 years ago. That poster has now been reconsigned to us, so it is still the only example of this poster we have ever auctioned! Note that the poster could conceivably be rolled, but because it is over a century old, it would be far wiser to not roll it, so we will send it in a large flat package that measures 24" x 30". Please bear this in mind before bidding. Condition: good to very good. here is a 3" tear in the right of the bottom border (solely in the blank white border). There is water staining in the bottom of the left blank border. Otherwise, the poster is in excellent condition, especially considering its age. But the poster is somewhat fragile, and will need to be sent flat (if someone tried to roll it, it would likely crack, but it is not brittle, and is basically in quite nice condition compared to half-sheets of this vintage).
