He was the 1971 National League MVP. After retiring Torre went on to be a manager for 5 different MLB teams (including the New York Yankees) before becoming the Executive Vice President for Baseball Operations for Major League Baseball AND Joe Pignatano is a professional sports baseball player from 1957, playing for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Kansas City Atheltics, San Francisco Giants, and the New York Mets as catcher. He was the 1969 World Series Champion with a .234 batting average! Important Added Info: Note that this "phantom" ticket stub (for the 1970 American League Championship Series baseball game at Yankee Stadium) has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Joe Torre AND Joe Pignatano! The Yankees did not make it to the ALCS in 1970, but tickets were printed before that was known! These types of tickets are known as "phantom" tickets because the games never happened. Note that our consignor has been a memorabilia dealer for the past 30 years, and he tells us that he is certain this autograph is authentic.
