What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster was folded an extra time. It had creases, tears, and small paper loss on parts of some folds, with some tears in areas between folds. It had tears and areas of paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. Given the poster's many defects, the restorer did a nice job, and the poster displays pretty well, but bear in mind that it has had fairly extensive restoration. Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
