Rich and wild is their humor!"; "Reckless and lusty are their lives! Mighty and eternal is their story!"; "Richard Llewellyn's Prize Novel"; "Produced by Darryl F. Zanuck"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Walter Pidgeon, Maureen O'Hara, Donald Crisp (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Anna Lee, Roddy McDowall, Barry Fitzgerald, and Sara Allgood (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film). Note that an unusual distinction for this sentimental movie is that it was VERY highly regarded immediately on its release, and it is somewhat notorious for winning the Best Picture Oscar over both "Citizen Kane" and "The Maltese Falcon", among others. Important Added Info: This Argentinean poster measures approximately 29" x 43" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). OR you can't see the restoration because it was so well done, but the poster had fairly significant defects. OR no restoration was performed, but the defects are not major, and restoration could be done to the poster without re-backing it. See below for its pre-restoration defects (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Poster had creases and some tears on some foldlines, and paper loss at the crossfolds. The entire poster had darkened somewhat, more so around the edges. It had minor smudges and creases, as well as some border defects, including pinholes in the corners. The poster is well linenbacked, and the restored defects are not very noticeable.
