Into the hearts of millions..."; "You see it without glasses in CinemaScope"; "Based on King Features Syndicate's 'Prince Valiant' by Harold Foster") starring James Mason (as Sir Brack/The Black Knight), Janet Leigh, Robert Wagner (in the title role as Prince Valiant), Debra Paget, Sterling Hayden, Victor McLaglen, Donald Crisp, Brian Aherne, Barry Jones, Mary Philips, Howard Wendel, and Tom Conway. Note that Robert Wagner was basically forced to wear his hair the way the comic strip character had done, and that certainly didn't help this movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Marcel Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this Egyptian poster! One of those two examples has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still only one of two examples we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had an extra vertical fold 3" to the let of the regular one, with some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. It had a very unusual printing defect: the bottom left corner of the poster got folded over while it was in the printing press, and part of the producer credit got printed on the back of the bottom corner, and part of it was not printed at all due to the folded over area. The person who linenbacked this poster left it as it is, and it is kind of a cool defect, but one might choose to have it corrected by a different backer, without re-backing the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
