Some of his movies include: Shane (as Chris Calloway), Mighty Joe Young, The Last Picture Show (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, and The Getaway. He passed away in 1996 at the age of 77. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION has been personally autographed (signed) by Ben Johnson! Note that this item was consigned to us from the family of Ken Jones, who was an author of books about movies (including books about character actors and western stars). In the course of researching his books, he became friends with many Hollywood actors, and he would ask them to autograph stills for him (originals if he had them, or repros if he did not), and they obliged, usually returning the stills to him with a personalized inscription "To Ken". The family does not have a letter of authenticity for this signed item, but we feel certain it is authentic, given Mr. Jones' personal relationship with the star. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
