Some of his works include: The War of the Worlds, The Time Machine, The Invisible Man, and The Island of Doctor Moreau. AND Ethel Merman was an actress and singer from the 1930s to the 2000s. Some of her movies include: Airplane!, There's No Business Like Show Business and Anything Goes. Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful news photo shows H.G. Wells and Ethel Merman at the New York Press Photographer's Ball held on New Year's Eve 1935. There is a snipe on the back telling how Wells borrowed a camera and took a picture of Ethel Merman! Also note that this news photo measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm]. Condition: good to very good.
