After a bit part in a 1959 movie, he was cast as Maynard G. Krebs in TV's "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis", which made him a cult star. It went off the air in 1963, and the following year lightning struck twice when he was cast as Gilligan in TV's "Gilligan's Island", which was an even bigger hit! He passed away in 2005 at the age of 70. Important Added Info: Note that this book has been personally autographed (signed) by Bob Denver! Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and an interior two-page spread. Bob Denver moved to our consignor's home town (Princeton, West Virginia), and he participated in a book signing there, and he signed this book to our consignor (it was purchased by his mother as a gift to him). He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
