An Original Vintage Theatrical Danish Movie Program (measures 3" x 4 1/2" [8 x 11 cm]; 32 pages) (Learn More)

Prinzessin Olala (released in the U.S. as "The Art of Love"), the 1928 Robert Land German silent royalty romantic melodrama (based on the operetta by Jean Gilbert) starring Carmen Boni (in the title role as Princess Xenia), Hermann Bottcher, Walter Rilla, Georg Alexander, Illa Meery, and Marlene Dietrich (sixth billed, and four movies before she made The Blue Angel, which made her a major star!)
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this movie was first released in Germany in 1928, and Marlene Dietrich was sixth billed. But in this Danish program, while she is still sixth billed, they have added a page to the front which is a full image of Dietrich with her name below it! Therefore we think it is extremely likely this movie was released in Denmark in 1930, after The Blue Angel made Dietrich a major star, and that when the movie was released, the original program was used, but with the full page of Dietrich added. Note also that first release movie paper from this pre-Blue Angel Marlene Dietrich movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this Danish program! Note also that we have pictured the front and back covers and an interior 2-page spread from this program.

Condition: very good to fine.
