An Original 1960s (from the first release of this film in Australia) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Australian Daybill Movie Poster (measures approximately 13" x 30") (Learn More) Creature with the Atom Brain, the 1955 Edward L. Cahn science fiction (sci-fi) monster horror thriller ("Shock-full of thrills!"; "Terror true to science, based on laboratory experiments described in national magazines!"; "He comes from beyond the grave!"; "A dead man stalks his prey! Here is horror that can happen Now ... To You!"; "A dead man walks the streets to stalk his prey! So terrifying only screams can describe it!"; "You won't believe your eyes!"; "Based on Scientific Facts!"; "Story and Screen Play by Curt Siodmak") starring Richard Denning, Angela Stevens, S. John Launer, Michael Granger, Tristram Coffin, Gregory Gaye, Karl 'Killer' Davis, and Don C. Harvey NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that, because of the horror content, this film was banned in Australia in 1955 and was first released in the late 1960s. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). OR you can't see the restoration because it was so well done, but the poster had fairly significant defects. OR no restoration was performed, but the defects are not major, and restoration could be done to the poster without re-backing it. See below for its pre-restoration defects (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster was in nice condition, but it appears there was a snipe over parts of the bottom 1/3 of the poster (perhaps with a title change), and there has been expert professional paint restoration in those areas.
