He was one of several actors who made a living playing a drunk with limited success. He joined the cast of The Jackie Gleason Show, and began playing "Crazy Guggenheim", a comic role (but he would also often sing). Some of his movies include: Nancy Goes to Rio, Call Me Sister, and Scared Stiff. He passed away in 1978 at the age of 58.
