An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

In the Bag, the 1956 Jack Hannah Walt Disney animation animated forest ranger cartoon short (about Humphrey cleaning up the trash left behind in the forest, and at one point he decides to burn the trash but Smokey shows up with his catch-phrase) featuring the voices of James MacDonald (as Humphrey the Bear), Bill Thompson (as Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore), and Jackson Weaver (as Smokey Bear). Smokey Bear (also known as Smokey The Bear) is an American advertising icon created by the U.S. Forest Service with artist Albert Staehle in 1944. Designed to educate the public about the dangers of unplanned human-caused wildfires, Smokey is the longest-running public service advertising campaign in United States history. His slogan, "Remember... Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires" was created in 1947 and was associated with Smokey Bear for more than five decades. Note that this was the last Disney theatrical cartoon short subject distributed by RKO Radio Pictures.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a few stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this one-sheet!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor wear on the folds. It had darkening in the extreme outer edges of the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
