An Undated (probably 1960s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Swiss Lobby Card (LC; measures 7 3/4" x 10" [20 x 25 cm]) (Learn More) Det Sjunde Inseglet (released in the U.S. in 1958 as "The Seventh Seal"), the classic 1957 Ingmar Bergman Swedish fantasy medieval plague metaphysical meaning-of-life-and-death melodrama ("One of the greatest and most powerful European films in a quarter of a century"; "The Story of a Challenge to Death") starring Max von Sydow, Bengt Ekerot (as Death), Gunnar Bjornstrand, Nils Poppe, Bibi Andersson, Inga Gill, and Ake Fridell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these Swiss lobby cards were created by taking Swiss stills and gluing them to a stiff board, with metal grommets inserted into each corner, to make displaying of the items far easier. This was done by the distributor. We have also seen Swiss lobby cards from this movie that have the "SF" logo in the corner of the stills and are mounted onto an 11" x 14" board, and we believe that those are from the first Swiss release in 1959, while these that have no added borders and no SF logo, we believe to be from a 1960s re-release. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. There are minor creases and scuffs around the edges of the card but they are not very distracting. The card is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays well. Learn More about condition grades
