An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 13 1/4" x 21" [34 x 53 cm]) (Learn More) Bella Donna, the 1923 George Fitzmaurice silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the famous novel by Robert Hichens"; about a femme fatale European woman who is married, but she attracts much attention from other men, and her husband kills one of them, and he is convicted of that murder; she then marries an engineer, and they go to Egypt, where she has an affair with an Egyptian man who convinces her to poison her husband; she does it slowly, and while he is very ill, she goes to her lover only to find him with another woman; she returns to her husband, but he has found her out, and he is being nursed back to health by his former girlfriend; devastated, she goes into the desert alone, where she is enveloped by a sandstorm!) starring Pola Negri ("Her first American made picture"; in the title role as Bella Donna), Conway Tearle, Conrad Nagel, Adolphe Menjou, Claude King, Lois Wilson, Macy Harlem, and Robert Schable. Note that this film was shown in the "DeForest Phonofilm sound-on-film process", but only when the movie premiered at the Rivoli Theater in New York City. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this window card, and that poster has now been reconsigned to us, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Also note that the window card was folded across the center at one time. Because the entire poster is fragile and has condition issues, we don't want to re-fold the window card prior to mailing, because we believe that re-folding the window card would potentially lessen its condition even more. If you specifically request it, we will re-fold this window card, but you will not be able to return it. Condition: good. The card was folded across the middle and there are rough creases in that area. There are tack holes in the corners and some stains in the borders.
