2 Undated (probably 1920s) Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Truthful Tulliver, the 1917 William S. Hart silent newspaper journalism romantic live triangle cowboy western (from the story by J.G. Hawks; about a cowboy who moves to a small western town and opens a newspaper; he tangles with the local saloon owner, both in business and in romance) starring William S. Hart (in the title role as Truthful Tulliver), Alma Rubens, Nina Byron, Norbert A. Myles, Walter Perry, and Milton Ross. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

Important Added Info: Note that we have NEVER auctioned any movie paper from this William S. Hart cowboy western before in all of our years of auctioning! The movie was released in 1917 by Triangle Distributing and was later released by S.A. Lynch under the states rights system sometime soon after. However, these two cards have neither of those companies on it, so they are certainly from a 1920s re-release. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Condition: fair to good. Each card has six small areas of paper loss in roughly a semi-circle in the main part of the image with slightly larger paper loss in the center of each card. There are also pinholes in the corners and some stains around the edges.
