An Art Print (with art by Maxfield Parrish; unnumbered; measures 14 3/4" x 22"; with mat that measures 16 1/2" x 24 1/2") (Learn More)

Maxfield Parrish was an American painter and illustrator active in the first half of the 20th Century. He is known for his distinctive saturated hues and idealized neo-classic imagery. Prints of his paintings sold hundreds of thousands of copies, and he did calendars for Edison-Mazda Lamps, which were incredibly popular. He passed away in 1966 at the age of 95.
Artist: Maxfield Parrish
Important Added Info: Note that a previous owner of this print had it attached to the back of a mat that measures 16 1/2" x 24 1/2". While the print itself measures 15" x 22", they chose to have the mat opening measure 9" x 18", so that it solely showed the image. Obviously the new owner of this wonderful 1918 print could remove it from the mat and re-mat it any way they choose, or they could leave it as it is and frame it. Either way, it will display wonderfully on its new owner's wall! Note that this item will need to be sent in a large package so bear this added expense in mind before bidding.

Condition: good to very good. The print was attached to the back of a mat with 1' wide masking tape on the back of each border of the print. It does not affect the front of the print, and it could be removed, either by a talented amateur or a professional, but bear in mind that this tape is on the back of the print itself before bidding.
