An 1980 Comic Book Cover Art Portfolio (measures 10" x 14 3/4"; contains 24 prints) (Learn More) Two-Fisted Tales, the 1950 - 1955 war comic created by William Gaines & Harvey Kurtzman and published by EC Comics (E.C. Comics). It was one of two war titles published by EC (the other was Frontline Combat). They did not sell well for EC, but Bill Gaines continued publishing them because he and the artists and writers loved creating them, and they have some of the best (and most educational) content of any of the EC comics, even if they are not as revered by fans as the horror and science fiction titles. This was one of many EC comic titles published by Bill Gaines (later publisher of Mad Magazine). Since the ending of publication, all of the EC comics have been reprinted many, many times, in many formats, and there have been several movies and TV series based on them! Important Added Info: Note that this is a portfolio that Russ Cochran published in 1980, which contains full-color prints of the covers of all 24 issues, contained in a black & white printed envelope (see our image). Condition: very good. The envelope is separating at the top and bottom and has wear around the edges. The prints are in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
