The Circus Barlay was founded in 1935 by the Berlin artist Harry Barlay (Reinhold Kwasnik) from the bankruptcy estate of the Circus Alberty. After the end of World War II (WWII), the now East German circus resumed its operation in 1947, and after the escape of Barlay to West Germany, the circus was administered under the municipal authorities of Berlin. In 1968, it was finally renamed Circus Berolina on the occasion of a multi-year tour of the Soviet Union. Artist: Gebhardt Condition: very good. The poster is in pretty nice condition!
